Party of 6

Adventuring and traveling with a family of 6

Stop 1: Cheaha State Park

Collecting magnets from each place we stop at.

Our first night of camping on this adventure is in the books. Time to beat to set up camp is 49 minutes. We divided into two teams: Tent Team and Cooking Club. Each person had an assigned job.

Unpacking

Tent team setting up.

We learned three things from this picture. Do not use spaghetti sauce in a glass jar (or at least do not put it freely to move around in a cooler on a trailer), make sure your already opened elbow noodles are securely placed in the cooler, and finally double check how your kiddos pack the food cooler.

Campsite all set up.

It just happened to be Boley’s birthday and our kiddos pick their meals on their birthday. He chose Veggie Noodle Soup as his birthday meal and we made it happen.

First meal at the campsite.

No shoes in the tent, so this was Jovie’s strategy. I wander how many buggy friends were welcomed in.

We finished the evening with smores and UNO then headed off to bed.

Our kiddos are already early risers. Throw a 5:30 am sunrise in the mix and you can imagine we started our day really early. We woke up and packed a few things and then headed out on a morning hike.

We hiked Pulpit Rock trail and it was beautiful. The kiddos gave it a 10 for scenery, a 10 for scary, and an 8 for difficulty.

Izzy and Steven braved the edge.

Then we headed back to the campsite for breakfast, showers, and final packing.

And that’s a wrap for stop number 1. We are headed for Arkansas. Also, disregard Jovie’s new face she is trying out in this photo.
