Party of 6

Adventuring and traveling with a family of 6

Is This the Road?

The drive through Canada provided beautiful scenery, wildlife, cool pitstops, and white knuckles on the steering wheel as we traveled on what Canada deemed a road. Here is what I learned from traveling this road.

This sign does not mean “pretty mountains ahead” but, “You’ll feel like you are on a roller coaster.”

This one: “Screw it, we didn’t pave the next section.”

This one: “Hang on tight, it’s going to be a wild drive on the side of a mountain, or your taking a deep dive down the mountain, or you’ll have to drive up the side of a mountain.”

What it looked like on most of the roads.

Canada did bring some pretty neat pitstops along the way.

We tried to Escape the Room in Regina, Saskatchewan.

And had ice-cream here at the Milky Way.

How do you not stop at a dinosaur museum that you spot along the highway. We stopped at Phillip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum in Webley, Alberta.

Bison have the right of way.

We made a stop at the Northern Rocky Mountains in Muncho Lake, BC.

We made a pit stop at Liard Hot Springs in Liard River, British Columbia. Nothing like a natural hot tub.

More bison along the highway.

We found a super cute cabin in Whitehorse, Yukon. This was one of our only stops that had Wifi and cell service. A chance to download a movie to watch in the afternoon part of the drive. We had a great time listening to music and playing card games.

A rainbow in the sky after a few days of rain

It was so neat to have the opportunity to see a bear foraging along the road.

That wraps up Canada. We are excited to enter back into the USA!
