Party of 6

Adventuring and traveling with a family of 6

Aloha from the Caldwells

The beginning of December brought us a much needed break from the snow and cold.

Plane ride! We were so ready.

And first things first, the beach!

We visited the beautiful Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden.  There was a super cute visitor center and very friendly staff. The views were amazing, the fish and ducks were fun to feed, and the kid’s favorite was the cocoa tree.

Next, more beach. The kiddos got to paddleboard and snorkle, and of course more time building sand castles.

Stairs! Lots and lots of stairs. The summit of this hike brought you to the top edge of a very neat crater.

Is a trip to Hawaii even complete without a Luao? So much fun!

It was an honor to be able to visit Pearl Harbor and remember all those who lost their lives. The kiddos also earned their Junior Ranger badges.

Dole Plantation obviously had the best pineapples. We got to ride a super cute train around the plantation and enjoy Dole whip.

We were all super stoked for this adventure. We got to visit Kualoa Ranch, where several movies were filmed to include Jurrasic Park, Jurrasic World, and Kong. We got to ride ATVs around, escape a TRex, and try coconut water straight from the coconut.

We concluded our time in Hawaii with a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center. The kiddos got to do an activity at each country and learn about their culture. We learned to play the ukulele, learned lots of music, and leaned the Hawaiin alphabet.

So long from Hawaii!
