The Caldwells are off on a big adventure…
The start of our belongings being picked up to be moved a month ago.

The days after our belongings were picked up seemed like a whirlwind. There were lots of laughs, lots of tears, and lots of “we got this.”
We moved into TLF for 10 days prior to leaving the state. Picture 2 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs, and 1 bathroom. It was a great time! The dogs didn’t mind.

Dinner at temporary housing.

We were able to spend some much missed quality time together outside.

I will not miss this state in the slightest, but I will miss some of the amazing relationships we built here.
The Cottonwood Crew, as we called them. Our neighbors were the absolute best. Their girls were the sweetest and kindest kids. The other family lived on the next street over and their oldest son became instant best friends with Ry. They played the night away.

This family right here welcomed us the first week we were in Alaska at church. They got us plugged into the community. Fortunately, we ended up leaving at the same time, and they were in temporary housing with us the last few days. Naturally, for this group of kiddos, they chose a friendly kickball game and playing on the playground the night before they left.

We were very fortunate to find such an amazing soccer club family. They will be deeply missed. The kids had great coaches and mentors.

I was very blessed to have an amazing teacher partner this year. We had an awesome school year.

We went on a final animal hunt. We didn’t see any bears or moose, but we did see a porcupine.

We visited our favorite ice cream spot for the last time.

We loaded the car. It was packed!

Unloaded all the things at the airport.

Final picture in Alaska!

And made it on the plane.

So long AK!
