We started our adventure in Paris on Saturday night with views of the Eiffel tower and a fancy birthday dinner for Jovie.

The next morning, we hit the ground running in a full day of visiting Paris landmarks. We started at the Arc de Triomphe. The Arc was built to commemorate those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. It also has a tomb of the unknown soldier memorial from WWI. The Tour de France riders also go around the memorial a few times, so it was neat to see it from that perspective too.

We then visited the Hotel National des Invalides. It was originally built as a military hospital and retirement home for wounded soldiers. It is now a military museum, and it houses Napoleon’s tomb. Oh, and before walked to that museum, we stopped for coffee.

We stopped for hamburgers on the way to our next stop and saw some iconic shops and memorials.

Our next stop was the famous Notre Dam. It was very neat to be inside such a historic church.

On our way back, we passed the massive grounds of the Louver.

We stopped and had crepes.

Then we headed to Paris St. Germain Football Stadium for a tour.

We then finished the night with dinner before heading back to our AirBNB.

Au revoir Paris!
