Party of 6

Adventuring and traveling with a family of 6

Giza, Egypt

Our layover was in Rome, so we enjoyed some Gelato between flights. We were able to stretch out a bit on the flight from Rome to Cairo Airport to get some sleep. It was quite the process through passport checks and renting the car, as well as being 3am, but the kids were hanging in there.

We had “breakfast” near the pyramids before starting our day.

We started at none other than the Pyramids of Giza. The pyramids are truly amazing and hard to translate into pictures. The Egyptian hussel is real and we learned the words “la shukran” or no thank you real quick. We took a lot of pictures with the pyramids.

Sprite, with Arabic writing, at the pyramids.

Walking down into the pyramids.

Photo ops with the pyramids.

Then we visited the Great Spinx.

We then headed to the Great Egyptian Museum to learn all about the Egyptian culture, history, and the discovery of king Tut.

This is what a 4 am arrival into Cairo, a wakeup of 9am to visit Giza shoved in the back of an Egyptian “taxi” looks like at the end of the day.

The girls were silly about the AirBNB and slept on top with Crocs on.

It was not a horrible AirBNB, however, the cleaning and maintenance standards are not the same as the States.
