The floating city was absolutely beautiful and what you would picture. We first took a gondola ride through the canals.

We then explored the city by foot.

We saw the Church of Sant’Aponal which was orginally founded in the 11th century.

We saw St. Mark’s Basicilla which was also built in the 11th century. It is famous for it’s golden mosaics and is historically the chapel of the Venice ruler.

We also saw St. Mark’s Clock tower, which is an astronomical clock, and said to be Venice’s official time keeper.
