Party of 6

We traveled to Kalambaka in Thessaly, central Greece. Here we discovered absolutely breathtaking scenery and monasteries built on sandstone cliffs. There are 6 remaining monasteries that can be visted that are collectively called the Meteora Monasteries. In Greek the word meteora means “suspended in air.” We visited all of them and went into 5 (one was closed).

We then had dinner at a local restaurant and tried a Greek desert of yogurt and honey.
